How to Apply for Assisted Living
The Tennyson Court Admission Process
Applying to assisted living facilities can seem complicated. What paperwork needs to be filled out? Is there a deposit? Does your loved one even qualify? There are so many questions, and it can feel hard to find the answer, especially if you’re in a time crunch.
At Tennyson Court, we strive to help make assisted living simple for you and your family from the moment you first visit our facility. We’re here to help you through our admission process before welcoming our new resident into our community.
Steps to Our Process
To make it easy to understand, we’ve broken down the Tennyson Court Assisted Living and Memory Care process into five easy steps:
- Resident representative and/or Resident books a guided tour of our facility
- Resident representative and/or Resident completes an application and provides a deposit for a room (complete your application here)
- Tennyson Court Staff screens the potential resident and ensures they can meet the requirements to move in and do not exceed the level of care that we can provide
- The resident's primary care physician will need to complete a medical evaluation within 30 days of move-in. Tennyson Court Staff will also review the information provided on this form, and they will ensure that our community can provide the appropriate level of care
- A Move-in date is selected, and Tennyson Court Staff will meet with the resident representative and/or resident to review and sign a residency agreement
About Our Assisted Living Requirements
Assisted living communities are for those who need assistance with the activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming and medication management. Tennyson Court’s residents are able to do some of these activities themselves but may require assistance.
It is also a wonderful option for those individuals suffering from memory issues such as Alzheimer's or other dementia-related illnesses.
